The Fundraing Club aims to encourage students to give back to the wider community. It provides an opportunity for students to raise awareness of and funds for a variety of good causes. Through organising, promoting and holding various events and campaigns students can get a real sense of achievement and generate much needed funds for those who need it most.
Examples of events held include Bake Sales and Sponsored Walks. The Club also organised Shoeboxes for the Hope Foundation Christmas appeal. Recently a student v staff basketball match was arranged for the Young Person's Mental Health Charity Jigsaw as part of our school's application for an Amber Flag. For Valentine's Day funds were raised for the Irish Heart Foundation with a Valentine's Day card competition.
Students are welcome to Room 6 on Fridays at lunch time and all input is welcome. The group aims to be student lead and students should learn a wide variety of skills by participating.
